The most successful photographers don’t rely on one strategy for leads. They have multiple generators. What you will learn from this workshop is a way for you to take complete control of your lead generation by creating your own leads.
When I say DM potential leads, that does not mean, “Hey girl, I saw you got engaged. I would loooove to chat….”
Or “I’m just reaching out to see if I can help you plan in any way!”
and it certainly is NOT rushing to close the deal.
Anything worth doing, is going to take a bit of time.
So what we will be doing instead is looking for an authentic connection.
Step 1: Start by liking a few posts.
A critical factor in this step is to look for smaller accounts. Meaning if they have thousands of followers, they will not notice your engagement with their account, and that defeats the purpose. You want every like that you give, noticed. This way, when you go to DM them later, you are not a complete stranger.
Step 2: Follow them
When you follow them, they are naturally going to check out who you are.
(this is when an optimized IG profile comes in handy – to see more about how to optimize your own, check out my IG workshop here )
Step 3: Comment
Look for posts that you want to connect with. If you have nothing to connect with, you have nothing to say.
Posts to connect with can be a hobby, a destination, an outfit, an experience, etc.
Your comment should ideally end with a question – that way, it gives them a reason to respond and further builds that connection.

Dale Carnegie said, In order to be interesting, you must be interested.
Step 4: DM
Two to three days after the previous steps, you want to send the lead a DM.
The message is NOT about you. Like I have mentioned before, if I say it, I’m selling. If they say it, I’m closing.
Watch the video to get the golden script.
